Spring time beauty

This dicentra was imaged yesterday in lower Michigan.  I was struck by the progression from the buds on the left to the fully open flowers on the right. 

Z9, 70-200 Z, f/5.6

Thanks for the image and the memory. The wife and I lived in northern Ohio for most of the first thirty years of our marriage. The Dicentra there were very much like what you've shown. We moved to southern Oklahoma some twenty years ago. This variety you've illustrated does not thrive here, but another cultivar does. Photo taken 4-15-22.

Sharpness and creamy background give very nice 3D effect.
