The Z 50/1.2 S has interesting bokeh, not buttery smooth and not rough either, but pleasantly textured. Very nice!

I do not agree the 58G is not sharp ;)

It's sharp enough for its intended use, and if AF is fine tuned correctly. Otherwise, it has a veiling glare at full aperture. But yes, for its intended use, it's sharp enough. Only... its field curvature and other quirks don't make it suitable as a general purpose lens (which the Z 50/1.2 can be, apart from the weight).

For reference, Canon already has a RF 85mm f/1.2 for mirrorless. 82mm filter, 103x117 width x length, 1195g...

Wow what a beast, my Canon 85/1.2 FD clocks in at 840 gram including adapters for the Z6, length in the same setup is 10.2cm and 8cm in diameter.

I hope that when the 85/1.2 lenses have been announced that the 35/1.2 is next which I intend to buy as my main prime lens.
