Wild horses Pano
« on: May 18, 2021, 05:53:46 »
Wild horse herd, July 2019, along the shore of Mono Lake, California. Presumably these horses are descendants of domestic horses relased or escaped from the early explorers, miners, or ranchers over the last 200 years or so. Stitched from about 10 frames, D800E, AF-S 300/4.

I downloaded your beautiful and immense pano temporarily just so that I could zoom-in to see the wonderful details.

So many horses, all grazing and coexisting with a few buffaloes too.

I had no idea that such a huge herd of wild horses existed

This is an amazing pano, Keith!  It feels idyllic, peaceful and somewhat surreal at the same time...

Keith - A magical photo of a familiar place from years ago.  It rewards opening up the larger version.  I particularly like the heat and water vapor shimmer over the lake.  Cheers, John

Thank you all for your comments. When I get back to the 'photo computer', I'll post a few closer shots of some of the horses.
