Just another stupid question

OK, due to some Monsoon disasters in the house I've not been using my cameras as often as normal but I have a question.    For the past week or so VeiwNXi has not been displaying the Focus Point when I click on it in the tool bar for Z6 photos.  I have only used Z6 with recent FW.  In play back the Focus Point is displayed but not in VeiwNX-i.   I have not changed any settings that should have affected but my son has been using the camera also.
I have gone through the settings, the manual and also have Googled .  What am I missing. I did upload latest NX-D and VeiwNX-i recently .

Try to right lick the full screen image and see if "show focus point" is turned on. Perhaps the upgrade reset some settings.

Øivind, many thanks.  It does show that it is turned on.  Interesting that I never knew that I could show lost highlights and shadows by right clicking   Learn something new every day 
Edit:  I've been going through all settings and still have not found the answer.  Guess  I will do a factory re-set and start over
