Weathered
« on: July 25, 2015, 13:21:28 »
Not recent work, but from a place I try to visit once in a while to take shots of its slow demise.

It's an old freshwater laboratory that has been abandoned. It's loated close to a large freshwater lake, Tystrup lake, in one of Denmarks rare forest areas that has been left untouched for many years - Suserup forest.

Interesting and an unexpected find in your country - such scenes I tend to associate with settlements in the deep forests along the border between Norway and Sweden, or the high north in Lofoten or Finnmark in Norway.

Thanks for commenting Bjørn - yes, it is probably a somewhat rare place here in Denmark and I agree the building itself looks like something one would expect to see in e.g. Sweden - i even think the color is called "svenskrød"!

Unfortunately it has been suggested to tear it down. On the other hand it is probably not safe to visit - a couple of big beech trees is "resting" on its roof...

Abandoned houses and factories are always attractive photo sites. I can not resist very often.
In 1989 till 1991 I had a series kf exhibitions on that topic. Fascinating

I like these. When finding such a place one can wander around for a long time finding good photo opportunities.

Indeed this abandoned house is an itriguing object.  I love the way you "crop" the wall in the very first image.

I can hear voices, the shuffling of feet, the teapot blowing ... well done Lars.

LOL ... yes, roped and hanging from the ceiling .... sweat and blood slowly dripping from their upside down heads pooling on the floor beneath them.

Thanks Elsa (.. and Gary),

I didn't hear anybody crying for help but I did remove a few bones and body parts that was lying around before I took the shots ... they didn't work well with the composition of the images  ;)
