Capim Dourado (Golden Grass)
« on: June 09, 2019, 04:11:45 »
Believe it or not, the golden material used in these artifacts is completely natural and unprocessed.
And stays like this for a very long time.
It is found in the central region of Brazil.
In the third picture the 10 yo girl Lailane is making one piece.
In the last you can see the stems as they are found in the field.
Took these today.
Thank you for looking.

Amazing plant!  The tiny flower looks pretty.

I wonder if the golden color is actually the iridescence caused by the special micro-structure of the stem?

Thank you for sharing, Aguinaldo!

You may be Wright Akira see the color in the photo of the girl, there is not direct sunlight there, so no iridescence
Nice series
