I have tape residue on my carbon fiber tripod legs. Is it ok to use white benzene to clean or should I use something else?

Most tape glue residues comes off with oil and a soft rag, after a bit of soaking

Also eucalyptus oil is excellent for removing sticky residues. It is usually available from pharmacies.

Ok, I tried rapeseed oil and baby oil (essentially the same) with little or no effect. I finally resorted to white benzene which seemed to be the ticket. No ill effect on the carbon fiber that I could see.
