Hello from Greece
« on: February 25, 2019, 22:31:05 »
Hello to everyone. My name is Achilleas, 38 years old and i am from Greece. I am a doctor and in love with photography. Started 11 years ago with an ultra compact Panasonic FZ28 which was a total waste of money. Luckily, just months ago i managed to buy a used Nikon D700 which is my partner in this journey since.  I think i was very lucky to find this forum and become a partner in it.

You are most welcome. Enjoy NG and share discussions and images. We are in general a quite friendly lot.

There is a genus in the Asteraceae named Achillea :D

Kalimera and welcome to NG  :)
The D700 is a great camera, quite robust and efficient! You'll love it  ;)

Καλώς ήρθες

My D700 & my family visited Greece in 2011. Fond memories ; maybe I should open a thread on that subject.

Welcome among us !

D700 is very good start in Nikon galaxy. Reliable tool and far to be obsolete.

Enjoy and don't hesitate asking any questions you need.

Francis.

any camera that does not put unnecessary hurdles between the picture in your heart and head and the picture on your screen or in your photobook is good. Currently I scan film and see that even the extreme low tech cameras of the time would do. In comparison the D700 is great advanced high tech. A reliable workhorse.

The most important lessons in photography are not about cameras.

Why do you want to take a picture?
Of what?
How?

Welcome!!!
