Portraits of the poet
« on: September 10, 2018, 19:33:08 »
Here are some portraits of the Georgian poet Zurab Rtveliashvili. His performances are among the most intense I've seen on stage.

I'm an amateur photographer who recently joined NikonGear after reading for a long time.

I've been shooting events and concerts for more years than I ever wanted
to admit and I know how difficult things may get at times; thanks to the
ignorance of those taking care of the lighting aspect of the venues mainly.

I can well see in the live takes that you were not spared for sure. With this
I mean that the second shot is the better one exposure wise though I think
the live shots could be improve in terms of rendition of the DR.

The second one is revealing convincingly a nice side of the personality of the
subject
Light is free… capturing it is not!

Thanks for your comments! This poet has a sweet and friendly side as well.

I like working with whatever lighting conditions I happen to encounter, but this time I can't blame the light. I chose to add some contrast and push the highlights when working with the raw file. For another performer I would have chosen another style.

I like them. Very raw.
