Questions about Nikon tele lens CT-xxx cases

Hi,
I wonder if anyone has knowledge and/or experience about the various aluminum lens cases.

I would like to get one for my AF-S 300/2.8G VR 1 and another for the AF-S 200/2G VR 2 lens. Neither of these came equipped with one from Nikon unlike my 400/2.8G VR did (CT-404), and I would very much like to get the hard cases for the two small teles too.

Previous versions of the lenses have come with hard cases instead of the current soft pouches, but I bet the recesses/indentations in the older cases are different. Has anyone found a case that fits either of the lenses I mentioned, or has anyone been able to modify one case so that the lens fits nicely?

I would not want to buy a case blindly only to find out it is unsuitable.

Nikon make a hard case that can take the soft case of the VR 200/2 (I/II) or VR 300/2.8 (I/II). It can also take the 200-400/4 VR but without the soft case. If comes with a bunch of interior filling pouches so you can also house the 300/4 and 70-200/2.8 in there. It is called CT-F1.

BTW Nikon Changed the CT design for the FL Superteles. CT405 is way different compared to the precedessors (i dont like that switch btw. because it takes more storage capacity - easier for travelling maybe but I dont use CTs for travelling anyway). The first FL lens (the 800 mm) still has classic design for its CT801
