Etosha Game Reserve Namibia
« on: July 17, 2018, 17:05:34 »
As a follow up of my previous post on our visit to Namibia, here are some images from the Etosha Game Reserve. The light was not always nice and soft, mostly harsh and very contrasty. But I enjoyed the photography anyway, even at midday. Martin

Martin, thank you for treating us with some fantastic images. The lions are of course the most attractive.

Yeah the harsh light, and the images are very good.

Makes me go on a safari again! Thanks  ;D

Cheetah image is super nicely done, the lions lack a tiny bit more depth of field as far as I feel/can see - Maybe it adds movement and then it's actually ok,,, ;) who knows

Thanks for all the feedback - always appreciated. The lion shot is a bit soft, the 200-400/f4 not all that sharp at longer distances. Also, the shots of the lion and cheetah were handheld out of a vehicle with the arms and body at awkward angles, not the best for holding everything totally still. Martin
