Bathing in evening sun

While on a walk near sunset, shot this lonely tree which seemed to be enjoying a bath in the last sun rays.

Interested to hear what you think about this one.

I like it.  Not much to complain about.  Maybe the edge-sharpening effects are a bit strong, yielding tiny halos around many small elements in the shot, particularly the tree against the sky. But who knows, what with forum software and differing monitors?
The half-in tree on the left is a minor annoyance, yet suggests honest reportage.
This light...and the dried out leaves... makes me think of my area (Southern California) when it is hot(30ºC) and dry(5% relative humidity).

Thanks Keith. I'm afraid the halos are not caused by me. I did ponder the tree on the left for a long time and decided to leave it in. I'll give it a go to crop it out and see how the composition feels to me.

Thank you Les. This time i chose the tree to be the star. It's not far from me, so when similar times come by (summer), i'll go ahead and try a composition like you propose, closer to the ground.
