Indeed it is challenging to focus with the 105/2.5, especially for the declining eyes like mine.

Great pictures with a great lens... 
While I now wear vario-spectacles (the drama of aging), I don't rely too much on the green dot but on the mat screen like I used to do with my FM2n's ! With some training (mostly for confidence) it works well enough for me 
I was already more of a 50mm user then a 35mm, aging with hip problems (no more "dancing" as Henri Cartier-Bresson), I shifted to the 85mm and nowadays more to the 105mm f/2.5 AI-s ! With the 28mm f/2.8 AI-s in the pocket, I feel I'm ready for most situations with my Df 
The 105mm f/2.5 is a lens that grows on you

   s you know this is one of the two lenses with cpu via Erik and Bjørn. The rendering... planing a project based on Carmen Amaya were older lenses and probably ir images are going to be used.

    Usually with a D700 and k3 focusing screen, now replaced with a D750 because is been cleaned.

    Will share more if anything interesting happens

Wonderful portrait, although I prefer at the moment the 50mm 1.2 for children and women portraits, I am considering to get a 105mm 2.5 for landscape and cityscape, like your second image. I really like the slight compression you got it.
How do you find the flare and ghost resistance in the 105mm 2.5 ?

Flare and ghost resistance is relatively good. I always have the hood on (sliding with the AIS, snap-on with the AI), and rarely face real issues. Photos with backlit subjects (pipe organs, my favourite) are not as contrasty as with, say, the Zeiss 35/2, but usable.

With the 105/2.5, I never look at the focus confirmation dot. The dot is sometimes useful with wide angles, but that's it.

With the 105, I'd rather use the "pumping back and forth" technique to nail the focus on the matte screen. It mostly works, despite some astigmatism on my right eye.
