We visited the little town of Arniston in the Southern part of the Cape Province. It used to be known for its picturesque fisherman cottages, but these have mostly been modernised thereby losing their charm. The close by Waenhuiskrans Cave is spectacular. It is only accessible at low tide and you have to be out before the tide comes in again trapping you inside with dire consequences. Photographing it is quite a challenge as you have a tremendous variation in brightness between the opening to the sea and the inside - about a seven stop difference. HDR is indicated - this one is just a single exposure hence the detail in the opening is a bit washed out. It contains a few humans to provide some scale. It was a very enjoyable weekend - also photographically. Martin
