Every year we have Lofotfiske (feel free to add photos). A Norwegian writer  https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Johan_Bojer  wrote a famous novel about these fisheries ( https://commons.wikimedia.org/wiki/Category:Cod_fishery_in_Norway ). This last month I have had the project office and actors living at my place ( http://rosehagen-roser.blogspot.no/ ), setting up a play based on the book "The last Viking" ( http://www.densisteviking.no/arena-omrade/ ). Photos in low resolution no PP.

Hi,

Thanks for reply to my pictures. I shot the whole play "The last Viking" over the 10 days it was played, and then ended up with approx. 400
in a sequence. (Mostly 125/2.5 Voigtländer APO Lanthar)

Black and white pictures with D3s are quite pleasing to the eye, I'm receiving a Fuji S5 pro from France next week(ebay), probably even better for BW (and UV/IR)

I agree # 6 in BW is very good! Composition and mood!

I think the rest have a noisy look, I would prefer to have them look more grainy less noise if possible,,, D3s should be able to do that

APO Lanthar is a bit slow and difficult to focus in the dark,,, must have quite a tsk to shoot these,,,

A couple of the ship images are tilted too much.

Thanks for comments Erik, I'm relatively ignorant of photographing theory. I tried to use a 24-70 2.8 autofocus one night of the play, with
scanty results(probably lack of knowlwdge/skills). But you say higher iso could be beneficial to some of the photos? (No PP done on any)I have little experience in
assessing photos, but surely the APO lanthar makes photographing enjoyable. I'm trying other lenses as well, but return to the 125, and feel
"at home".

You have a knack for story telling and moods. Beautiful set up. I specially enjoyed the two girls talking in the first post and the portrait and water splashing in the second. Nice variety too.

Thanks Golunvolo for commenting, it was difficult to find good places for photographing on the other side of the river, approx. 70 meters across from the audience. Dense forest all down to the water, but I give some examples of what happened there. This play was first staged(as open air theatre), in 1935 dramatized by the author, a huge success at the time,  and by the same local theatre group as today, but with involvement of more professionals now. "The last of the vikings" by Johan Bojer is available at Amazon, not in Spanish, but English, French and German, enjoy!

Nice pictures, really liked the last two, especially the fourth one. Beautiful light and a wonderful bokeh ("creamy").

Hi Frode, thanks, I see you have the 200mm, I have no lens above my 125 Apo Lanthar, have been considering the 200 mm a lot, but probably going to try the 500mm f4 manual focus  first, to see how a longer lens works for me. Playing with different lenses is kind of educational ; -) In future I expect my best photos to be in monocrome, after shooting one full year with the 125 in colour, I think now is time for one year with BW and Nikon primes. wide range. I'm not really comfortable with autofocus (and zoom), but open to painfully qualified experience and information.
