Bees feasting [gorging themselves] on Rose of Sharon, to the point where some had a difficult time flying

My understanding is a worker bee's life expectancy is about two weeks during summer. They either die of a heart failure or they wear their wings out. They might live for two years or some if they just sat about an sipped nectar under a cool tree.
