omg these are beautiful !!!!

The first two.
Especially the red tree against the starry sky. It's magical.
And the house scene with the lights on and daffodils in the foreground is enchanting.

I have a 28/2.0 AIS but have never put it to this good use.  ;)

the edited #3 look much better  - it has more bite and presence

BTW - Mongo had a little play with #4 and reduced (a little) the mid tone levels for the sky only. Try this and see what you think ?

Thanks, Andrea, I'm very glad that you like them. The reasons I use the 28/f2 for night work are - I can stop down 2 stops and get into where the lens is sharpest, at the same time eliminate comma, yet still have a reasonably fast aperture of f4, and the vignette still present at f4 is arguably a positive for this type of image.

Mongo - I won't post another image, but I tried lightening the lower half of the sky and slightly darkening the upper half and I think this works well.

Thanks, Dave.  The edited #2 looks much better to me.
