I didn't have to endure such "dangers", but i don't have trains. I've got boats though ...

Annecy, France. Early morning before (most) tourists are out. Shot on Shenhao 617, Ilford FP4, f/32, 14s @ 90mm.

Are there a lot of problems with train departures in Germany these days? I’ve heard so. We had some delay on our trains from Hamburg to Freiburg on our interrail trip this summer.

delay and cancelling are standard today.
Just as one example: on the route you took direction Basel, every tenth IC train is no more allowed to enter Switzerland because of delay.

Here to bore you again with a pano, this time of the little harbour in the sourth of Lake Annecy at Doussard.

Shenhao 617, 150mm, f/323, 2s on Kodak Portra 160 (@100). Shot early morning with a bit of a glow in the sky (behind me).

Your picture shows an exciting connection between yachts and mountains, but it seems to be "not quite finished" with the pastel-like colors. I like it a lot.

Yeah, indeed, in the subdued light in the early morning with a daylight balanced film with a pastel like colour palette, one gets this. Therefore i did not to massively post-process this, just some basic contrast and colour correction.
