Ha Long Bay Excursion
« on: January 23, 2017, 16:30:31 »
Retail Staff Group by Ron Scubadiver, on Flickr

It's a 3.5 hour drive from Hanoi to Ha Long Bay.  Viet Nam does not have a good highway system, so the going is slow.  This was at the rest stop.  By our standards everything is overstaffed.

This image has been removed.  If you are curious, it is still on Flickr, "Ha Long Bay" Pillar.  Clicking on any of the other images will take you to flickr.

Ron,

The place is marvelous, the composition is interesting and the B&W would probably work well, but your PP this is not subtle, those halos are killing me.

Are you referring to the sky just to the upper left of the pillar?   I missed that spot.  Otherwise, please explain.   The shot was extremely back lit, it looked horrible in color

The halos ara all over the place where dark meets light: this often happens when you overshoot your PP, and put too much sharpness, highlights or shadows.

Ron,
Sorry for not replying earlier; I had gone to sleep.
Unfortunately the image has now been removed (by the way I don't understand what the NT in the post above means) so no further discussion about it is possible.
I hope you did not take offense at my feedback because it was given with a constructive attitude.

Unreal.  I used it because some forum software will not allow a post to save if it has no text.
