The "kick"
« on: January 14, 2017, 20:41:47 »
I dont know if you are familiar with a the peak of innovation in personal transportation. The "kick" does nothing if you dont do what the name implies, but if you use your leg as nature intended, its a death machine when it comes to speed. Icy conditions is also a success factor when it comes to speed. Until the roads gets sanded, of course :)  It is nothing short of a miracle that I actually reached mature age or didn't get mangled during childhood swishing down the icy roads where I grew up, dodging cars and the nasty plow truck. But I still use it for exercise and thrill of the speed. The dog gets to run too :)

It is the hallmark sculpture for Tynset municipality. Not sized to normal scale, though. It is huge.

Not a kicksled ('Spark') to use for racing, obviously.

Ok, never seen it. I thought you were messing with my perception :) Is that the one mentioned in the Guiness book of records?

Probably. It is several meters tall.

Admittedly the IR photo was playing with perception of scale ..
