Me and my family visited between Christmas and new year, it has been probably 30+ years since I was here the last time, the site is north of Mexico city - where I lived until graduating from university - It is nice to come back with the family and visit places I have not seen in a long time
1. Pyramids of the sun - big one in the background, to the right, and pyramid of the moon, even farther to the left. the nearby constructions are to each side of a long street , about 4 kms (currently explored length) , the site excavations started near the conquest of Mexico in the 1600's, a big push was done before the revolution before the WW fair in the early 1900's to promote Mexico as a country to the more developed countries. The site was eventually listed by the UNESCO as a world heritage centre in 1987.
The pyramid of the sun is 64m high and measure 225m per side. It can be climbed and usually is a crowded climb, this time was not an exception.
The pyramid of the moon is 42m high and can be climbed to a first stage, not all the way to the top.
Light was very bright with bit of haze, so I chose to process in b&w
