This morning we had a beautiful sunrise I not have experienced often.
We went very early to the Oostvaardersplassen, a nature reserve about 1 hour driving from Amsterdam.

I was out for birds and had only one lens with me.
D500 + 150-600 Sports @600mm

This is a beautiful sunrise shot! The dawn color in the sky and the color of the sun match so perfectly that the sun looks like a circular cut out in the cloud.

Sun near or at the horizon makes for the best captures. Also beneficial when something blocks the rays partially to allow sufficient exposure for the entire scene not just the solar disc.

Just remember to be careful and preferably avoid looking into the view finder.

These later contributions are all moody and convey the morning light quite well. However, there is a certain softness or lacklustre feeling to them that did go unnoticed in the first sunrise picture.
