Well, you are probably so old that you can remember the days when cameras had something called film in them  ;D

Sten - I'll give you a real laugh - the first "large-format" camera I bought was a quarter-plate* Kodak folding bellows camera. It was of some antiquity and admittedly I bought it in a junk-shop (for £2.00, in 1967); it came complete with a box of (I think) 24 glass-plate negatives. I shot and developed them all - still have them somewhere, and actually did part of the work of my first paid job - a record-sleeve - using that camera and a couple of those glass negs.

* quarter-plate - 4.25 x 3.25 inches; 11 x 8cm
