You might try a custom preset white balance (or whatever it's called). This is from a Nikon D800 under a really nasty 23 watt twisty...



...then again I have no idea what a custom preset WB does to the ISO. The thermostat in the hall didn't fly through the air. I made the custom WB as I was experimenting with video on the D800. I shot a sort clip of a friend's cockatoo and the color of the first one was hideous. The next one was decent.

I think I had trouble getting a "good" report from the custom WB attempt. I switched lenses to a AF 50/1.8 or 50/1.8 AI to get enough light.

Anyway worth trying I think.

I'm also struggling when have to shoot under those nice, tender, soft, terrible “yellyish” lights.
Do no why, or where, those people, the ones that built these buildings, had their heads, when they thought about lights...
I bring always with me the filters to make a local WB, but it just tend to float, as the lights also floats a lot, as they warm up, in temp.
One thing is for sure; our brain is a heck of a WB controller!!

What I should have said was I'm concern about ISO issues because the deficient blue in the light source will require heavy amplification of the blue channel on top of the amplification of all channels required by a high ISO.
