Here are two examples for the performance of the oldish lady I usually use for tabletop food work (first full frame, next crop from the above):

This is from a series of photos I took of "fruit pairs" (D3, Sinar AMED120):

I have kept all my old large-format Nikkors. These are 65/4, 90/5.6 (? either Nikkor or another brand, cannot locate that lens right now), AM 120/5.6 ED, 150/5.6, 270/6.3 ED, 360/8 ED, 500/11 ED. All of them beautifully made and delivering very goo to excellent image quality.

My favourites were the 120 AM for close-ups on my 4x5" view camera, plus the 270 ED for landscapes. Superb optics with a a crisp and vivid colour rendition.

The D600 is a perfect match for the AM 120/5.6 ED in the near field. For portraits and at infinity my Apo Digitar from Schneider is much better.

I have to call NPS for a trial of the D810 as a back for the Sinar.

Trouble is that in the field the Sinar is very heavy and not weather proof.

Another one of the first encounter (Sinar in the field):
