Ever widening gap
« on: October 25, 2016, 22:19:51 »
Taken earlier this summer here in Toronto.
I was walking on Yonge Street here in downtown Toronto when I noticed across the street a man on a motorized scooter panhandling in front of an old, extremely beautiful building that had  been a financial institution in another life.
I was struck by the contrast between the enormous symbol of wealth and power, and the tiny man who needed to beg to make ends meet.
And grabbed this shot.
Converted to black and white in photoshop.
motorized Nikon FG
Nikkor 24 f2 AIS manual focus
Fuji 100 ISO colour slide
5.6 @ 1/125th
I shoot with film. That's film. F...i...l...m. You remember film. It was in all the papers.

That is indeed a lot of contrast in one shot ;)
