This shot taken just after dawn, so it was actually quite dark yet, with no sunlight and lots of fog.

Sharp details and a multiplicity of soft tones - "prima disegnare, poi dipingere" would say some Italian painter from the Renaissance.

It is the eternal question of the photographer or the gear.

nobody attributed a specific feature of the pic to any specific feature of camera or lens. At that scale (with resampling), it might be difficult anyway. On the wall, it may be a different story.

BTW my most enjoyed fifties are the Zeiss Milvus 50/2, and the 50/2 and the 50/1.2 Nikkors. Correlation with chart or brickwall shooting results ? zilch.
