Humorous indeed, and scary on the same time. The French writings are important here.
Everything contributes to the picture, the two women looking in opposite directions, only one beeing identified as a woman (femme) by the writing on the window, the tme being counted for the other one (temps limité)...

Yes! There is actually "limited time" and "70%" on both windows. "Woman" only in the left one. Put that together with "urban behavior", the tide of our times and two not very fashionable people by media standards and voilá, scary image I think.
