Bob these are amazing. The sky is seriously beautiful too in it's blue hue. I can only dream of getting such good shots

thank you. i wish the bird was looking more in the direction of the sun..believe it or not, it would have been better with a more overcast day.

also.. i used the passport color card to create a profile in photoshop.. which darkened the original hue.

cool stuff. I dont fancy the white washed out backgrounds we so often get

Excellent Images, I am in wonder of your settings, f9 and such wonderful subject isolation. Image 2 seems almost as if I can put my hand into the space behind the bird. It feels very natural, just as if I was viewing the Falcon with my own eyes, albeit much, much sharper.

I like the first image with the falcon extending the wings

Also liked the deep blue from the sky, quite nice !

with a long focal length lens you have very little DoF wide open... so i typically shoot f/8 or f/9 to get the entire bird in focus.
