Butterflies from Oiti mountain
« on: October 15, 2016, 19:33:58 »
I spent a weekend in mid July on the mountain of Oiti, (central Greece). A few of the colorful creatures that bring to mind the connotation of beauty and
test our patience.

Nothing like getting into the zone, when capturing Butterfly images, wonderful colours and captures.

Beautiful series, although a little too big in the frame if I had to give a critique.

They are very sharp, tough, and with nice colours.

I particularly love the Apollo (Parnassius apollo) which is becoming very rare in our French mountains.

About what altitude did you shoot them ?

Well done !

Hello Francis,
Thanks for your comments. I was between 500-1000 meters and I found butterflies thru the whole altitude. I saw the Apollo from the lowest to the highest.

Impressive series of images, Elias!  #4 in the first batch and #2 in the second are especially awesome.
