Zoute Grand Prix Rally 2016
« on: October 15, 2016, 12:27:39 »
Last week I was able to shoot at the Zoute Grand Prix Rally 2016 for classic cars (on behalf of online magazine Monochrome Watches; I also interviewed someone from the brand Lebeau-Couray that sponsors the event). A fabulous experience! The event started in 2010 and has attracted 150.000 visitors 5 years later. The core event still is the rally but there is also a world known auction by Bonham for classic cars and it is also possible to see modern high performance cars from Ferrari, Maserati, Lamborghini, BMW, Mercedes, Audi.

As I still have to write the article about the rally, I will let the photos speak for themselves.

Great documentation of the event, the panning shots are fantastic

The R8 looks out of place :)

The glass of wine was a great way to end

You are absolutely right. Thank you for letting me know. I removed it from this thread. It does not add anything.

Beautiful cars, beautiful moments, beautifully captured. Thanks for showing us!

If I may have one very small criticism, it's such a pity there is a ballustrade behind the wine glass...

Thought to post three of my personal favorites. I tried to experiment a bit with sharpness vs. unsharpness.

Love the sense of motion on the red ferrari shot, only a bit of the car is sharp , everything else blurred from slightly to a lot  ... the car leaning on the curve, the wheels detail slightly visible, very very nice results

the Ferrari is as well my fave of the last 3 pics.
Have you tried to cut off the stone left side in front - for me it blocks mentally the road.
In general your approch with thin DOF for this kind of pics looks good for me
