D750 with MuP-sickness?

D750 with "MuP-sickness"? -    My D750 (new June 2015) has just become unstable. Suddenly, and without any prior notice, the MuP activates, i.e. when I intend to shoot (an error message occur in the viewfinder info area) the camera does not shoot, but need another trigger push. A photographic fellow of me has just experienced the same, and more or less on every shoot. My camera has not been exposed to humidity or any rough treatment. Any idea of what is going on?

I have just tried my D750 and I haven't noticed any errors with MUP.

Sorry for beeing not precise. There are no problem with MuP. My problem is under normal "S" shooting.

I assume you are saying you are shooting in Speed mode as set on upper left dial.  If you have not done so,  try a 2 button factory reset (page 199 of the Manual).  Worth a try  ,  What error megs are you getting in the VF?    Have you been using bulb for any recent shooting?
My D750 has experienced no problems.

I'll try. (I was shooting in S-mode, single). The message was just "error" as I remember just now. No, I have not used bulb for several weeks.

I had something slightly similar. I got an "Err" message, and would have to switch the camera off and on again to get it back.

Then the shutter failed.

This was replaced under warranty, and at the same time Nikon loaded the latest firmware, and since then the problem has not occurred again.

I assume the problem in this case was firmware rather than shutter related, and thus ask whether your camera has the latest firmware.

My D750 (bought new this February) hasn't show that problem.  Sorry about your inconvenience.

Does the problem persists even with the freshly charged battery?  Which number of your "Battery Age" shows when you check the battery?

Firmware version C 1.01 and L 2.005.

The current firmware version is C 1.10.  and L 2.015.  Won't you try the latest version, especially the "C".

My D750 (bought last year when it was released) doesn't have this issue. Never sent it back for the "problem fixes" as well.
Did have one total lockup where I had to remove both batteries.

Have you installed the most recent firmware and tried a factory reset?

I had a hiccup with my D7100 a couple of days ago. I was in aperture priority but after a quick lens change to capture someone passing by on a frozen lake, the camera locked up with the mirror up and the shutter open. I got tired of waiting after 11.5 seconds and quickly turned it off and on again; it continued working again as if nothing had happened. The only explanation beyond a technical hiccup I can think about is that I have AE-lock set to the function button in sticky mode. If I accidentally hit that before the lens cap came off it is possible it could have triggered a long exposure. However I notice that even indoors enough light gets to the meter through the viewfinder to give a shutter speed of only 8 sec with lens cap on at the same ISO and nominal aperture as when the hiccup happened.
