Watching and waiting
« on: October 01, 2016, 17:10:12 »
Taken on Pride Sunday in June, here in Toronto.
From experience, I've learned that there are always interesting situations and people to see and photograph when I get down to the Gay Village early in the morning, long before the activities are to begin. Some of my favorite Pride photos were taken during these times over the years.
On this particular morning I was walking down Church, the main street of the Gay Village, when I spotted an elderly man standing at a street corner intently starring up into the empty sky.
I stopped and looked up to try and see exactly he was so interested in. There was nothing that I could see, so rather than disturb him, I grabbed this shot which I liked, and went on my way.
motorized Nikon FG
Nikkor 24 f2 AIS manual focus
Fuji 100 ISO colour slide
probably f4 @ 1/125th

I shoot with film. That's film. F...i...l...m. You remember film. It was in all the papers.
