Spinning squirrel
« on: September 10, 2016, 02:08:25 »
Quick grab this evening, through a not too clean window, no time to get the settings, 1/25 second, but that turned out just right.

Mongo likes the clarity and colour of #1.

#2 is very interesting also in a different way. Maybe she can spin a nice fur beret for next winter at this speed.

Thanks, Mongo.  I am not sure she would cooperate with a human!

Anthony, you must live in a very nice place if you have squirrels playing about :)
Nicely captured. The first one is sweet, but the second shows action :)

Thank you for the invitation Anthony. A concert at Ronnie Scott's would be nice...

Thanks, Elsa and Harald.

The squirrels are out in force, collecting horse chestnuts for winter storage.  We have to try to stop them stashing them under our lawn.

Thanks, John.  The squirrels are harvesting the horse chestnuts in large numbers, hoping to survive the winter.

Both the shots are very impressive Anthony. You have to tell us how you take such clean shot at 1/25. :)

Thanks, Anirban and Armando.

The shot was taken with my new that day Fuji X-T2, with the Fuji 50-140 (which has excellent OIS).

My initial impressions of the new camera are highly favourable, even allowing for confirmation bias.
