Little Owl
« on: July 02, 2016, 12:08:20 »
Hi
We had this owl as a visitor for three years, it has not returned to us this year, hope you are well Little Owl. We had a wonderful game of cat and mouse for two years.
   I was outsmarted constantly.
I came up with the plan to set up a " ambush "  with remote shutter, that went slightly wrong, but here is the reward of persistence and maybe a tiny show of trust from the owl.
It,s not fair for me to assume I have all the skills to get to approximately closest focal length on a 300mm f 2.8. with such an aloof subject.

Very nice little owl; very nice picture.  There seems to be some color imbalance: too green / yellow, no?

Hi MFloyd
The image started out in need of more exposure, so I chose to brighten it with the lighter option in the "capture one" colour  tool. I did not do a side by side compare so maybe I have
added a little encroached tint into the balance of colours, I could have used a different process software and Isolated the owl and inverted to work with the exposure of the owl.
Then worked with the foliage after. The most important thing for me was to share a image that I have a very fond memory of.
