The Coville's Columbines are coming into blossom up high in the mountains. I love to photograph them in the early morning light. This species has large, mostly white blossoms on the end of a long stem. As shown in the first image the wind was blowing pretty hard. So, don't fight the wind, just enjoy it. The Columbine photos are all done with the AFS 300mm F/4 at 1/4 to 1/6th of a second.
