Lying in state

Taken a few weeks ago at Nathan Phillip's Square in front of the Toronto city Hall.
There is a garden area with tiered seating among the flower beds that faces and is separated from another area of plantings by a long, wide gravel walkway.
I was standing at one end of the walkway when I noticed a man lying on a bench at the opposite end. In the horribly contrasty light the subject was silhouetted against the lighter background. I liked the composition and grabbed this shot.

Very interesting scene. It appears as if this person is laying on "lit de parade" flanked by mourners. Well seen :)

I appreciate the kind comments.
I also approached the "corpse" (actually just someone sleeping on the concrete bench in the warm sun) and grabbed a shot of him that fills much more of the frame.
However, without the wide avenue and the leading lines it lacks any impact, so I haven't bothered to scan and post it.
