it is the city where Van Gogh's life came to an abrupt end after only 2 months of residence. Now they do everything they can to make as if it has been his only home... So sunflowers are everywhere in season. For the rest of the year, they obviously found a solution!

Yes, I love it! The foreground really makes the shot and compliments the back ground nicely both in subject matter and coloring. I really like the perspective. Cropping to the orange line at the top might make for a more mysterious scene (as viewed when scrolling down on my screen), but that of course removes the sunflowers.

Fantastic color/geometry composition as usual, Olivier!  The bluish hue on the petals of the daisy flowers balances out the bright orange/brown color.

thanks everyone.
The circumstances of his death are still heavily discussed around here.
There are still many hypothesis, amongst which
- mental instability leading him to shoot himself
- accident related to kids playing with guns
- Van Gogh falling in love with Dr Gachet's daughter, Gachet not beeing (at all!) in agreement...

It will be hard to decipher what really happened, more than a century later.
