Thinking about adapting rings-PN-11, PK or others to E lenses-on example 200-500/5.6.
Questions: lens has 10 contacts, bodies-8, TC-14-new one 10 female and 8 male, older TC-14-ten on both ends. Which contacts are responsible for closing aperture?

I presume Dr. Lens will know the answer...

Thank you in advance, Erik!

Here is a page with all of your answers, almost,,, ;)

But basically you need all of them to make it work,,,

Coincidentally I just today handed over an extension tube for Bjørn made out of a TC14E mark II so it can be used with AFS and the AFS E Type lenses,,,

So within The next days I'm sure Bjørn will try it out on our travels and report how it works ;)

Please note: the linked page might not load! Just see the data in later reply.

Andrew, it worked for me about 10 hours ago, and now it is also dead for me.  Maybe try again in a few hours, just in case the site has been temporarily taken down.

I can tell you that in the link Pins 9 and 10 were not identified, whereas the rest were.

Nikonhacker page doesn't work!

Any other solution?

Yes aparently there is an issue with that page,,,

Anyway
The contacts are identified in Nikon service manuals (and on the circuit boards of cameras and lenses) as "A" through "J". "A" is the leftmost contact as you gaze lovingly into the lens mount of the camera. The names of the contacts vary depending on what manual you read. E and F are the "gap" contacts in older cameras.

My best guess is I or J is the new [E] Aperture,,,

The first F3-AF interface:

numberF3AF
AVCC
BLimit switch
CNear to Far
DFar to Near
E
FRelative Distance
GGND

The second AF interface, as used in 5 contact screwdriver lenses:

numberN50patent
AVCCLCVV
BRW1RW1
CSCKLCK
DSIOLIO
E

F

GDGNDPGND

The third AF interface, as used in cameras that support AF-S lenses:

numberN90, N70F5patent
ALCVVVCCLCVV
BRW1R/W1RW1
CLCKSCKLCK
DLIOSI/OLIO
ERW2R/W2RW2
FLBATLBATLBAT
GPGNDGNDPGND

The full 10 pins from the 300mm f2.8 AF-I service manual:

number300mmprotection
AVCCcap to PGND
BR/W1pull up and series
CClockseries
DDATApull up
EHotline, Pulsepull up and series
FPower for Motor
GMotor GND
HHotline, Pulsepull up and series
