Another Walk in the Woods
« on: April 19, 2016, 07:14:17 »
Getting used to the X-Pro2. These were all taken handheld with the 18-55mm lens except for the moon. The moon was taken with the 100-400mm lens and the 1.4 teleconverter on a tripod.

These were taken along a small river about a half an hour drive away from home. In springtime though the river has much higher stream flows, so its bigger, livelier, and colder than in summer. A number of large (3+ foot diameter) trees were tossed up on the stream side from winter storms.

1. Must be woodpeckers on a bug hunt.

2. April is the month for Trillium Ovatum.

3. Apparently the remains from a time long ago. This is pretty much surrounded by dense woods. Must be an interesting story.

4. The dog likes to be in the middle of the group so she can keep an eye on everyone.

5. An almost full moon on a beautiful warm evening.
