Nikkor 200mm f/4 Ai @f/4

Despite my other reservations on this lens, the contrast is really top notch.

Very nice pictorial representation of the nervousness and care of this rodent in its habitat!

I personally prefer the red squirrels though, but they are not very common in your area, are they?

These are groud squirrels that live on the coast.  Parks a mile or so inland have the tree squirrels.

You caught the tiny and erratic creature with a manual focus lens quite nicely :)

Great image. Love the composition and the sharpness of the subject with the nice softness of the out of focus areas shows the abilities of this lens.

Thanks all.  It is worth pointing out that I used a negatie clarity value on everything but the squirrel to soften the bokeh.  The 200mm f/4's bokeh is too nervous for my taste.
