These are from Finnmark, the northernmost part of Norway. Actually some parts of Finnmark never have summer in the climatological definition of the word summer. I enjoy this barren and desolate landscape and find it overwhelmingly beautiful.
(Right click and View image to see them a bit larger and sharper. Something happened to the sharpness when they are viewed in the post)

Oh wow, i can see why. Great stuff. I've been to Norway twice, but never this far north.

The second one was just awesome, with the first one not far behind. Wonderful landscape and wonderful shots.

It's a landscape made for landscape photography. Even the sheep understand the principle of the Golden Section and co-operate willingly by holding their pose

Scotland and the Hebrides pop up in my mind. I know you are even farther North but I have not seen itwithmy own eyes.
The impact of long ice cover has shaped these fascinating landscapes.

Actually, geology is more important than the Ice Age in the region. Both components contribute to the formation of the landscape of course, but remember the ice sheet wasn't as thick here as further south.

great series of images. Proves the point that there is always a shot out there - a good one. Just have to find it.
