Hout Bay Tour
« on: March 22, 2016, 17:50:33 »
Touring the Peninsula  - what normally takes about 2 - 3 hours driving - can take 3 days at least if you are quick. This was a tour of Hout bay - one of the spots we stopped at.

Lovely collection Elsa and another eye-opener for those of us who don't know this part of the world.

#3 is interesting on a number of levels. First thought was that the seal must have needed very fresh breath to get away with this. But if you have to hold a herring in your teeth to get it to come this close, maybe that's the least of your problems!

Colin - the Capies (people of the Cape) will do anything for a buck. You are expected to pay to make a contribution a photo of them :) but then they perform for you with the seal. This is illegal and dangerous on many levels. you are not suppose to feel wild animals. That has never stopped them of course. And when something goes wrong - they will blame it on someone else. That's how it works here :)

Hi again Elsa.

Regardless of the local politics, there's something in that seal's expression that says it feels very comfortable with its Capie.
