What like a lot is the blur and the position of the spokes.

Jørgen, you froze the spokes at the most appropriate position for the symmetric composition.  This is wonderful!

By the way, it it a water mil of Japanese style?  It looks familiar to me.

Akira: Thanks. I don't know if it is of Japanese style, I haven't found any info that says so. According to what I could find, the first mill was built back in the 12th century. The current one is a rebuild of the mill built there in the 18th century. Today the building functions as a small museum. I had limited time, so didn't go inside. Here is another picture:

Jørgen, thanks for the details on the mill.  The fachwerkhaus construction is not of a Japanese style, so it should belong to your traditon.

That said, interestingly the shape of the thatched roof and the siding panels looks very similar to those of the Japanese style.  These could be common goals of the logical thinking.

Speaking of roofs, on a small Danish island (Læsø), they used eelgrass (seeweed). Apparently it is only place in the world where they have used eelgrass to make roofs. It takes a lot of ellgrass to make such a roof. There is an example (in danish) here: http://www.tangtag.dk/forbrug
They used 8000kg of eelgrass for 50m2 - around 160kg/m2. The thickness of the roof varies from 1.4-1.7 meters.

I feel the first one is the most effective of them.

A strict composition with a movment that ist still
concrete not abstract.

The second is pure abstraction.

The third just a documentation with low pictorial strength in my book
