. . . This is why we have fast lenses and Iso capabilities that continue to be pushed.

Nice noise soup with great content!
There are moments where the extended modes of cams are useful ;-)

(I had a revealing moment in the UV light only dressing room for laser tag when I first used a D700, H2 got me a picture of lousy quality but extreme memory value).

Very useful.  Especially since a lot of the shows I shoot will illuminate the band with nothing but red light.  So my camera's photosites are only receiving 1/4 of the already very low light. 😑  Luckily, bands typically use images for online use only so I can get away with the abysmal quality of such high Iso settings.

Tristin, a hopelessly noisy image is not always a bad thing.  It conveys the atmosphere of the heated performance (of the audience!) very well.
