Some more from Vaals
« on: February 20, 2016, 16:50:40 »
Posted one in the Clouds thread, but had some more from our recent visit to a holiday park in Vaals. Vaals is the place in the NL where 3 countries meet up, NL, BE and DE.

These pictures face away from that point by the way. From within the fence of the holiday park, i sneaked out for an hour or so. Shot with the siggy 150 that also does macro. I'd be interested to know how you like it.

#1 is far more interesting than #2,
on #2 the village in the distance looks smudged,
i would have set the distance hyperfocally,
or even focused straight on the church
another option is stacking a few different distance shots
although i dont know if there is significant focusshift with the Sigma

I like the photos! The tones and colors are spot on. The blues, greens and yellows are so charmingly vivid. A picturesque neighborhood you live in Mr Cremers :)

Thanks for commenting Fons, i really appreciate that.

In the full file, the town in #1 isn't smudged. Must be my processing skills, or rather the lack thereof.

I also don't know whether there is a focus shift with the sigma, i've never tested. I did focus on the church, but that's pretty small in the picture, so perhaps my focus point picked something else.

Thanks again!

It's not where i live, Jakov. It's about 1.5 hours more south of where i live, the deepest south of Limburg. I live near Eindhoven. But, that may all be the same to you, up there in Den Haag  ::) ::)

Thanks for stopping by and commenting, i also found it picturesque.
