I have the D5300 and always wondered why the built-in GPS responded so poorly. Now I know thanks to Sten's link....

By the way, a D5300 desperately needs an aGPS information file to make its GPS to function. Otherwise the body shielding will make the GPS for ever search for satellite fixes.
