This Tokina lens was earlier introduced at the CP+ 2015 event this year, but today the company officially launches this lens and available for purchase in August priced at $999.
The lens has a familiar focal range from 24mm to 70mm with an aperture of f/2.8 at all zoom levels. Tokina lens retains traditional design with a sturdy metal body. The lens itself measures focus distance and a quite large adjustable rubber ring. The largest aperture of the lens f/2.8, ability to capture batter stills and beautiful bokeh in low light conditions.
The Tokina 24-70mm F2.8 FX lens is composed of 3 glass molded aspherical elements and 3 SD super-low dispersion glass elements give maximum resolution, more even brightness to the surrounding area, and high level distortion correction. Tokina said, the inner G09 lens is non-spherical convex lens of a large diameter and is the super-low dispersion glass with the very high processing difficulty level.
The Tokina 24-70mm F2.8 FX lens is good support for high resolution up to the 50 megapixel sensor as the Canon 5DS. This Tokina lens will be subject to intense competition from its rival such as Canon EF 24-70mm f/2.8L II USM lens, Nikon AF-S 24-70mm f/2.8G ED and Tamron SP 24-70mm f/2.8 DI VC USD.
The TOKINA AT-X 24-70MM F2.8 PRO FX lens will be sold in August for $999 and users only have two choices as Canon or Nikon mounts, no room for other cameras.
