I really like the way IR captured her tattoos.

A person with character for sure. Agree the tattoos show well and would mask any disclosure of subcutaneous blood veins, always a problem with females in IR in my experience. She does exhibit the dark eyes so typical for IR, though.

I love the veins. I think everyone has some secret photo fetish. That's mine.

By dark eyes, are you referring to large pupils?

Dark pupils. Like coal pieces. Very typical for IR.

I recently picked up a ring flash that has a couple of LEDs for focusing. I am hoping they will constrict the pupils.

The black rendition of the pupil in IR is due to its water content. So I don't think the problem can be avoided.

very interesting information I do not need. But I love this kind of stuff, because of my general curiosity. Thank you both for "veins & pupils & a tatooed lady"!!!

Lovely portrait!  As Asian guy, I don't understand why the black pupils are talked about this much...

A little in disguise Fons, but yes this shows the issue I referred to.

Do note that the chest and breasts usually exhibit subcutaneous veins even more markedly.

Kodak pamphlets on their Infrared Ektachrome talked a lot about the medical evidence made visible by this IR film.
