Airship

This scene reminded me of the film Blade Runner. The building is the Roppongi Hills tower in central Tokyo.

"This scene reminded me of the film Blade Runner. "

We just need to add the Coke advertisements and take down the brightness 3 stops. And let it rain all the time ...

On a lighter tangent, surely must be dangerous to navigate an airship like this in a maze of high-rise buildings.

I'm sure this Metlife dirigible is much, much higher than any of the surrounding buildings.

Fantastic shot!

Probably easy for a competent pilot, blimps are as slow as any aircrafts could possibly be.

Excellent capture, Dave!  I like some other-worldliness of it.  The gradation of the background is beautiful and effective.

Bjørn - I did think of going that route, but processing time is very short on this trip. I'll take another look at this image when I'm home.

Kim is more-or-less correct - the airship does stay somewhat above the buildings. Luckily, perspective, angle of view and camera position sometimes made the two objects appear very close.

Nice late afternoon catch, Dave. I have noticed that airship hovering around over the last couple of days, but didn't think of photographing it!

Contrasts nicely with the high tech Roppongi Hills building.
